Improved Buildable Area Performance
We've significantly enhanced our buildable area calculations, resulting in faster processing times. This update also expands your ability to seamlessly visualize environmental layers statewide.
Quality-of-Life Enhancements for Buildable Area
In addition to speed improvements, we’ve introduced several enhancements to make your experience smoother:
Statewide Environmental Layers: Automatically displays all relevant environmental layers across an entire state when calculating or viewing buildable areas on site detail pages.
Accuracy Indicators: An icon now appears beside buildable area values to indicate when changes to environmental settings have affected accuracy. This icon appears immediately after adjustments and disappears once you refresh the buildable area.
Immutable Buildable Area in Search Results: Search results now retain the original environmental settings used at the time of the search, ensuring consistency when reviewing site details from search results.
List-Level Buildable Area Refresh: Users can refresh buildable areas for an entire site list based on current environmental settings by selecting Refresh Buildable. Additionally, selecting Refresh insights and scores will also automatically update buildable area data for all listed sites. Individual site refresh remains available on each site detail page.
Expanded Statewide Environmental Layers
We've expanded our environmental layers statewide, now including:
Forestry and slope data for all states.
Prime farmlands for California.
DEC Wetlands for New York.
These layers, accessible via the main map layers legend, are integrated into buildable area calculations. Additionally, slope data can be visualized according to degrees of slope. Previously, statewide layers included buildings, wetlands, and floodplains.
Request Email, Phone, and Additional Owner Information
We've streamlined the process for accessing owner contact details. Site detail pages now feature dedicated buttons to:
Request more owner info: Use this to find owner information if it is missing from the site or to confirm the owner name.
Request email & phone: Use this to obtain contact information for the owner
All of this information can also still be requested on site lists.
Enhanced Distribution Substation Data for Illinois and Maryland
We've improved our distribution substation datasets for Illinois and Maryland, specifically in regions serviced by Ameren, ComEd, DPL, Pepco, SMECO, and Potomac Edison. This enhancement complements our existing three-phase line maps in these utilities, and additional regional improvements are underway.
