Permitting Predictor: New Home Page, Contact Status, State Details, & Moratorium Filters

Permitting Predictor now opens on a streamlined home page where you can pick the states you want to explore. A new contact status column makes it clear where Paces has manually verified all of the information in the table. We have also added details for all states on which jurisdictions handle solar permitting, view this information by hovering over the state abbreviations in the top navigation bar.

Also an additional filter has been added so that users can now identify AHJ’s with specific solar, wind, or BESS moratorium expiration dates.

Bulk Merging Sites & Creating Single Parcel Sites

Map‑based bulk editing is now more versatile. After selecting multiple sites you can merge them into a single site directly from the bulk‑edit menu.

When bulk selecting parcels you now have the option to create a site for each individual parcel that has been selected. This is an easy way to bulk create sites around a substation or line of interest. Find this option at the bottom of the site creation pop up after you have clicked create site.

Additionally when bulk selecting parcels on a site detail page you can now choose to either bulk add or bulk remove those parcels from the site.

Substation Planned and Existing Generation Capacity

In Search there is now the option to filter on existing and planned generation capacity near a transmission substation. The experience mirrors the generation‑capacity filters that already exist for transmission lines.

Exclude substations

In Search there is now the option to exclude specific substations. This can be found under grid preferences in the distribution substation and transmission substation sections.

Potomac Edison HC

Potomac Edison Hosting Capacity (HC) maps are now available both on the map view and within searches. Because the utility publishes the data as point features, we display it as points instead of lines.
