Data Portal Revamp
We've updated our data portal to make datasets easier to organize, search, and use. All public and private datasets and map layers have been combined into one unified table, allowing you to quickly sort and search within this single view. You can easily toggle datasets on or off to control their visibility in the map layers menu. You no longer need to toggle datasets on in order to use them during a search; all datasets that are relevant to the state you are searching in will automatically be available under the Custom Datasets step.
Custom datasets can now be uploaded directly from the data portal by selecting the Upload Data button. Folders can now be created to organize datasets by state or specific use cases, accessible through the "Folder" tab. Datasets can easily be added to these folders for improved management.
Rearrange & Sort Folders in Our Sites
You can now drag a folder into another folder to create a nested structure. The folder list can be sorted by Newest, Last Modified, or Name so your most important work is always at the top.
Map Filters for Utility or Line Name
On the map, you can filter three-phase lines and distribution substations by Utility or Line Name. This lets you isolate a single utility’s infrastructure for clearer analysis.
New Filters: Substation & Three-Phase Charge / Discharge
Lists that include distribution substations or three-phase lines now offer precise filters:
Closest Distribution Substation – filter by substation name.
Closest Three-Phase Line – set minimum or maximum charge and discharge values.
Find these options in the filter panel whenever the data is available.
Permitting Predictor: Choose the Columns You See
Customize the Permitting Predictor list to match your workflow. Reorder columns and hide any you don’t need—perfect for focusing on zoning, setbacks, or moratorium details. Use the column settings menu in the upper-right corner.
Exclude Specific Three-Phase Lines from Search
In Search there is now the option to exclude specific three phase lines. This can be found under grid preferences in the three phase line section.
Radius Measurement Tool Enhancements
The circle and sector drawing tool options now provide a measurement for the radius of the drawing along with the total area of the drawing. Use this to draw or measure setbacks from points of interest.
Nevada Energy Hosting Capacity Maps
Nevada Energy Hosting Capacity (HC) maps are now available both on the map view and within searches, giving you instant access to the latest NV Energy data.
