We've updated our data portal to make datasets easier to organize, search, and use. All public and private datasets and map layers have been combined into one unified table, allowing you to quickly sort and search within this single view. You can easily toggle datasets on or off to control their visibility in the map layers menu. You no longer need to toggle datasets on in order to use them during a search; all datasets that are relevant to the state your are searching in will automatically be available under the Custom Datasets step.

Each dataset listing clearly displays the dataset name, associated States, permission status (public or private), and map visibility. Columns can be sorted, and the search bar helps quickly locate specific datasets. Additional dataset details, such as state, region, type, use case, collection date, upload date, source, and description, are now provided and can be viewed by clicking the dataset name. Public datasets have this information pre-filled, while private dataset information can be added during the upload process. Upcoming features will enable filtering datasets based on specific use cases, states, or data types.

Custom datasets can now be uploaded directly from the data portal by selecting the Upload Data button. After naming the dataset you can now fill in additional information that can be used to later search, filter, and sort the dataset. The system automatically detects and tags the states covered by your dataset. Uploaded datasets default to private permissions, visible only within your organization. You can edit details for your private datasets anytime after upload by clicking the three-dot menu in the last column of the table and selecting "Edit dataset."

Folders can now be created to organize datasets by state or specific use cases, accessible through the "Folder" tab. Datasets can easily be added to these folders for improved management. Additionally, Paces may share folders containing both private and public datasets with your organization in certain scenarios. These shared folders will appear under the "Shared with me" section within your Folders tab.
