Environmental Reports in Paces consolidate key environmental, zoning, permitting, and ownership data into a single, lightweight summary of potential fatal flaws. These reports are automatically generated using core state data along with Paces’ zoning and permitting datasets, helping you assess project viability quickly and efficiently.

You can generate an Environmental Report directly from the Site Detail Page by selecting the Generate Report button. A report counter also displays how many reports your organization has remaining.

What’s Inside an Environmental Report

Each report includes maps and narration around the following site attributes:

  • Site context: Landowners, state, county, and AHJ details.

  • Parcel data: Zoning and parcel information collected by Paces.

  • Environmental layers:

    • Wetlands (with mapped locations)

    • Floodplains

    • Soils

    • Topography

    • Conservation land

    • Habitats & species

    • Cultural resources

  • Permitting summary (when available)

Accessing Environmental Reports

  1. Navigate to Our Sites.

  2. Select a folder and open a specific site.

  3. On the Site Detail page, locate the Environmental Reports section in the left sidebar.

  4. Click Generate to create a new report.

You’ll see:

  • How many reports your team has remaining in your license.

  • The last time (if ever) a report was generated for that site.

When the report is ready, you’ll receive an email from Paces with a PDF download link.

💡 For more in-depth analysis, Paces also offers Critical Issues Analyses (CIAs) — detailed reports created by the Paces team that include advanced data review and validation. To learn more about CIAs, reach out to support@paces.com.
